As a bartender, and a firm enthusiast for the adult beverage, I thought it would be fun to make a quick video for some easy and yummy holiday drinks! Thanksgiving this year will be in this apartment and it's necessary to have my bar ready to go with something other than spiked eggnog. Being that two bartenders live in this house, that just simply won't do, ya know? We gotta get a little more creative than that when it comes to the spirits. Jon came up with a before dinner cocktail and an after dinner martini and I show you an easy shot that tastes like the holiday season in your mouth!
In case you would like a step by step guide on how to make the drinks:
Pumpkin Old Fashion:
2 drops Orange Bitters
1 Sugar Cube
1 tablespoon Pumpkin Puree
2 ounces Smoked Maple Bourbon
Muddle all together in a glass
Pour over ice and stir for 2 minutes
Strain & pour over fresh ice in your serving glass
Cut a thin slice of orange peel and flame it.
(This will release yummy orange oil out of the peel that will layer on the top of your drink! plus, let's be honest, it just looks cool as hell to see it done, don't you think?)
Garnish drink rim with the Orange peel and serve
-
Pumpkin Pie Martini:
1 ounce Half & Half
1 1/2 ounces Crown Royal
1 tablespoon Pumpkin Puree
Combine in a mixing glass
Add ice, cover with a shaker and shake shake shake!
Pour into a martini glass & garnish with a sprinkle of nutmeg
-
Fall Over shot:
throw some ice into a shaker
Add equal parts:
Butterscotch Schnapps
Bailey's Hazelnut
Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey
(I did 1 1/2 ounces of each to make 3 shots)
Shake until cold, strain into shot glasses!
I highly recommend trying out all three drinks at your gatherings this year!
Here's to a warm, safe and yummy holiday season!
Cheers!
