my friend Blair is one of the world's great phenomenons. you know the type. not only is she that "just rolled out bed- i could be an abercrombie model" sort of gorgeous that we all envy, but the girl can bake like a mother you know what. my friend lena and i ventured out to OTR friday night for their final friday to help support Blair's growing business, brown bear bakery. she teamed up with a friend of hers that owns his own brewery and they made the most amazing pairings of specialty beers and complimentary sweets (blackberry truffles and belgian blackberry ale...oh my god) Final Friday is hosted in OTR where all of the shops stay open super late and promote sort of a more "nightlife" crowd. Blair's event was held in Smartfish studio which is an art shop on Main street.
anyways, that place was packed by the time we left, which is amazing!! we had every intention of spending big bucks to take her truffles and bread puddings home, but the stuff was gone within a few hours. oh the horror of going home truffle-less!! why is life so cruel sometimes? we had an amazing time, blair. thanks so much for the invite and the extra pounds i can feel already!!
